To Lucy:

Adoption is not so much a decision as it is a blessing that sneaks into your heart. It has truly proven to be a test of faith and a journey of hope. This blog will serve as a way to pass the time and preserve the sanity until our Lucy comes home.

Waiting...

We completed and mailed the second part of our agency application today! About 6 typed pages of questions in all, lots to think about. Our next step is the home study review by our agency and then we can begin our paper work for Korea. From that point the process will take up to 11 months, and during that time we will get 2-3 updates. I thought we would surely get more than that (I was hoping for every day :) ) but we will take what we can get! It is such a strange feeling to have her so far away and so much out of our control. We are so thankful to her foster mother for taking such good care of her and we cant wait to see her updates when they come. She is now almost 16 months old. We are begining to collect things to send to her in a care package but having a tough time, as she is surely bigger than she was in the photo above and surely smaller than our children were at 16 months, but we have no measurements that are current. We will also send gifts for her foster mother, after all she is the one who we really owe a huge gratitude! More pictures to come as soon as we get them!!!
